Laide Bakare grew up in a family of mostly girls but one son who became famous at an early age because her street was named after her father so they were known as the Bakare family.
She was born on October 7, 1980 in the family of Alhaja Bakare in Oyo State.

Olaide Bakare graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos with a degree in History and Strategic Studies, she also holds a diploma in Theatre Studies from the First University of Oyo State, Ibadan. Laide made her debut in her second year of university.
