Lainey Wilson could be the frontrunner to propose to her longtime love Duck Hodges.
The singer appeared in an interview with Bunnie Xo for CMT and Bunnie asked Wilson what she wants to see in 2025. That’s when Bunnie herself said that she hopes Wilson and her man will get married
“No pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We’re waiting!” Wilson talked about a potential offer to Hodges.
Bunnie and Wilson exchanged an affirmative interaction afterward with Bunnie saying “Duck would do that” and Wilson revealing that she would “like that”.
Hodges and Wilson have been a couple since 2021 and met through mutual friends.
“I said, ‘We’ll see if you’re in it for the right reasons.’ Turns out it was. Someone said it was funny to see him high-fiving all my artist friends at the ACMs, and I said, ‘Those are his friends!’ He’ll FaceTime with me and he’ll be with HARDY and Morgan [Wallen] and Luke [Combs]and I said, ‘Stop taking away all my friends.’ They would always go out and play golf and drink beer. I don’t need to convince anyone to like him. He’s a very lovely person,” she previously said Everybody about their relationship.
Elsewhere in her interview with Bunnie, Wilson shared that being invited to the Grand Ole Opry was the best moment of her 2024 year.
“I feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be. There’s a lot to celebrate. So if 2025 is anything like 2024, it’s going to be another great run.”
Wilson has previously spoken about being inducted into the academy.
“In August of this year, I will have been in Nashville for 13 years. It’s strange, I feel like I got there yesterday, and then I feel like I’ve been there my whole life. I know that in part.” about my story the time has come. I know that I need to live a little longer to tell the stories I need to tell.
