Lana Del Rey’s announcement of new music sparked excitement from her fans. However, there were so many mixed reactions to her alleged album cover that even the design app Picsart had many words related to it.
Previously on November 25, Lana sent fans a teaser for her next project by posting the cover design for the upcoming album “The Right Person Will Stay”. The album is scheduled to be released on May 21, 2025, immediately raising the expectations of her fans.
However, the cover design received mixed reactions from netizens because of its quality. While some people didn’t mind the cover at all, others compared it to funeral flyers and even pointed out that it was made from Picsart.
On November 26, Picsart’s official X (formerly Twitter) account finally took notice of the viral album cover design.
The app is captioned: “She did it again, another Lana Picsart album cover, guys.”
Picsart then added another post showing a “Picsart-core” video, which features various album cover designs that showcase the quintessential Picsart aesthetic.
The video also includes Lana’s latest album cover as well as her first cover design for “Blue Banisters”.
“I present to you all: photosartcore aka the most perfectly designed album cover,” Picsart wrote.
Previously, Lana mentioned on her Instagram post that the cover design was created by her sister Caroline Grant. Lana confirmed: “It’s actually my sister’s design.”
Picsart couldn’t help but see this, as the app happily noted the singer’s “Sister Partition” due to her credits.
Fans were delighted by the creative platform’s entertaining references to Lana and her album cover. Some included comments such as “At this point, you two have to cooperate” as well as “Do us all a favor and give her a free premium.”
