Known in the entertainment industry as Larry Gaaga, Ndianefo has built a coveted brand for himself as a songwriter, singer, music producer and music executive.

Currently signed to global label Universal Music Group as a songwriter and producer, he rose to fame after releasing the song Gaaga Shuffle.

Early life

Larry Gaaga is a proud Igbo man, both his parents hailing from the Southeastern region of the country.

He hails from Abia State, nicknamed God’s Own State. He was born in the southeast to Mr. and Mrs. Ndianefo and spent his formative years in Umuahia, the capital.

Although he had to learn music production, Larry Gaaga didn’t need the same help with songwriting. He was a talented musician. He began showing off his talent in high school by writing songs for his aspiring musician friends and his church choir. Over the years, he has honed his talent so well that he has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the world.

Additionally, as a college student, Larry Gaaga became interested in the music business and managed a number of emerging artists. Unfortunately, none of these artists were able to make a big break in the industry.

Larry Gaaga is a college graduate and holds a degree from the prestigious University of Lagos.

Career

After leaving college, Larry Gaaga decided to take a break from his music career and entered the corporate world. After serving the company diligently for five years, he decided to leave and start his own record label. Gaaga Muzik was founded in 2017. While still working at YSG Entertainment, he collaborated with Vector on the single Get Down.

Shortly after founding his record label, Larry shook up the industry with the release of his hit single, Gaga Shuffle, featuring 2Baba. The song was widely accepted by Afrobeats fans and was praised for months after its release. The single became an anthem as fans imitated Larry’s signature dance move. The dance move was showcased in the song’s music video, directed by talented cinematographers, Unlimited LA.

Buoyed by the success of his official debut single, Larry worked harder in 2018 and released more music for his fans. He released songs like Doe featuring Davido; Wonderful featuring Wande Coal and Sarkodie; and Baba Nla featuring Burna Boy, 2Baba and D’banj.
