LaToya Tonodeo was born to Ronald and LaTonya Tonodeo. Both of them had a sense of humor and often joked around with each other.
In August 2009, LaToya even took to Twitter to share one of her dad’s antics, “My dad is an idiot. Lol. Me: Mom wake up so I can take you outside. Dad: Wake up! Toy wants to play with you. Me: Stop trying to play with me. Dad: No, take me away so I don’t have you.”
LaToya made her television debut in the 2009 film Becoming Pony Boi and has since appeared in over 10 films and television shows. In 2023, she married her future husband Arlen Escarpeta.

In tribute to her, LaTonya wrote on her IG, “She was and always will be a blessing to me. I love her so much! Of course, this may not seem real, but I will never doubt God. Her beautiful soul will live on with me forever. My guardian angel. May she rest in peace. Love you 😘👯♀️💜😘 Please pray for us.”
She also added the Bible verse from John 14:1-3 KJV “Let not your heart be troubled…” in honor of her grandmother.

Ronald Tonodeo is the comedic father of LaToya Tonodeo. “I texted my dad ‘I love you dad. You’re the bomb’, he replied ‘I love you more dad. You’re the bigger bomb’ LOL,” Ronald shared one of their conversations.
But Ronald wasn’t just funny, he was “cool, laid-back, and calm. With his Ice Cube look,” LaToya says.
