Meet Laura Leigh Mickelson, Meredith Mickelson’s Mother
Laura Leigh Mickelson is Meredith Mickelson’s beloved mother. She has been her number one supporter and biggest fan since day one.
“Mer, you are a unicorn,” Laura praised her daughter on IG. “You bring me so much joy. Every day is Christmas being your mom. You are and will always be my favorite movie. I love you, baby.”
She added that Meredith was not only “the most beautiful young woman” she knew, but also the most sincere and loyal.
When Meredith appeared on the cover of L’Officiel Austria, Laura even wrote on her IG, “WOW!! You never cease to amaze me. ❤️@lofficielaustria is proud to present The Sustainability Issues!”
But this isn’t Laura’s first time in a magazine. In fact, she’s been on the front page of international fashion magazine Vogue not once, but twice.
Looking back, Meredith was offered her first modeling job at the age of 13. However, Laura didn’t think it was the right time for her to start a career. The following year, she was offered another project, and this time, her parents allowed her to pursue her dream.
The model has now made a name for herself in the industry and is represented by some of the biggest agencies in the glamour modelling world. Last we checked, she was working for Next Model Management and was making waves when she shared her thoughts on the alleged romance between ex-boyfriend Matty Healy and Taylor Swift.
According to a report, Meredith was “taken aback” by Matty and Taylor’s alleged romance. The model reportedly told friends, “I hope he treats her better than he treats me.”

His death was first revealed on IG via Meredith’s IG. “My heart is broken & writing this feels so wrong & I don’t even know what to say,” Meredith captioned a photo of them together as children. “Yesterday I lost my brother, my best friend, and half of my heart.”
She also said that her brother was “the happiest, most smiling, most radiant human being who ever lived”.
She also visited Los Angeles tattoo artist Konstantin Noskos and got the words “guardian angel” permanently tattooed on the inside of each wrist in a delicate handwritten font in memory of Daniel.
Similarly, Laura paid tribute to her son on her IG, “Daniel, thank you for the gift that is you. You have brought us unimaginable joy for 23 years. Your smile is still as contagious as ever. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss your silliness and your kind heart.”
For those who don’t know, Daniel is an aspiring actor. He played “Billy” in the 2019 film The Killer Clown Meets the Candy Man. That same year, he was also set to play “Billy” in Mani, an American web television series. He also recently launched a clothing line before his passion exploded. The brand is called Kids Back Home, a streetwear line “for kids at home.”
