Meet Maritza and Santos Rosario Sr’s Parents, Felicia, Santos Jr & Yalitza Rosario

Maritza and Santos Rosario Sr. are the parents of three victims of Lawrence “Larry” Ray, the subject of a new Hulu documentary. Stolen Youth: Inside the Sarah Lawrence Cult. The show, in every way imaginable, lives up to its title. It’s both confusing and strange.

Ultimately, it delves into how Lawrence “Larry” Ray destroyed many lives by using, abusing, and manipulating helpless people for the sake of a sense of control. Felicia, Yalitza, and Santos Rasario, the three children of Maritza and Santos Sr., were in fact among these numerous victims.

Despite being proud residents of the Dominican Republic, Maritza and Santos Sr. reportedly moved to the United States to live the American Dream in the suburbs with their family. Although they happily welcomed three children in just eight years in the 1980s and early 1990s, not everything was smooth sailing for the couple.

According to Santos Jr. in the documentary series, a key factor leading to this is that while the former works seven days a week to ensure there is food on the table, the latter just hangs around.

“I have two sisters,” Santos Jr. explained on the show. “I was closer to them than my parents because my mom worked seven days a week. My dad; he would go out and travel. I mean, my dad was married to my mom, but he cheated on her all the time.”

Thus, the moral dilemma that arose within the family seemed to have had a significant impact on all three children, and the discussion of this issue essentially opened the door for Larry to begin manipulating Santos Jr. This was because Santos Jr. encouraged him to be open and vulnerable in front of his ex-girlfriend’s father.

In other words, siblings are each other’s closest confidants in every way possible, as family dynamics may not be the best between parents or two generations. So it’s no surprise that Yalitza, a pre-med student at Harvard, Felicia, a Columbia graduate student, and Santos joined Larry’s inner circle when Santos joined.

Unfortunately, due to Larry’s influence, all of their personal relationships eventually fell apart, leaving Maritza and Santos Sr. determined to make every effort to reunite their family one day.

Where are Maritza and Santos Rosario Sr now?

By 2016, Santos Jr. and Yalitza had indeed left Larry, leaving only a seemingly mentally unstable Felicia and “lieutenant” Isabella Pollock by his side. Fortunately, even Rasario’s eldest sister was able to escape his web of deception months after her captivity in February 2020, and she later decided to reconnect with individuals who knew her true self.

Having not heard from her parents or siblings in years, Felicia began contacting them one by one. This eventually led to a tearful but joyful reunion. We are happy to report that it appears that all five members of the Rosario family are now living close to each other in New York, with Maritza and Santos Sr. living in the Bronx.

It is important to note that, in addition to the three, Maritza gave frank, unemotional testimony during Larry’s sex trafficking and extortion trial in April 2022. Due to the pressure Larry put on her son, she confessed that she had given him more than $150,000 in installments, much of which she had borrowed from others or sold their jewelry, cars, and homes to obtain.

Santos threatened to commit suicide if she did not help him, which she could not refuse because he had previously attempted suicide as a high school student.

Martiza currently works as an office worker, as her LinkedIn states. In 2018, she also started a petition to save the Galicia Restaurant from closing, which has been ongoing for 30 years.
