Mete Kobal met Randy Feloni in 2021. That was the year Randy lost his partner of eight years, Michael Landry, and was completely devastated.
Luckily, Mete’s presence in the star’s life saved him a lot of heartache. Unsurprisingly, before they could even celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Randy got down on one knee in front of Mete. “YES! It’s official! We’re engaged!! @metekobal We’re so in love! Thank you so much,” Randy later took to his IG to share the good news.
What’s more, in an interview with People, the star revealed that he is “so in love and so happy every day” with his partner. “It’s not what I thought a relationship would be and it’s unlike any relationship I’ve ever had in the past. It’s incredible,” he added.
The proposal took place at the Marmara Park Avenue Hotel—where they had their first date—in New York City, surrounded by 50 close friends and family. According to event planner Marcy Blum, who helped with the elaborate proposal, Randy wanted the decor to be “over the top” and “extravagant.” He then got down on one knee, surrounded by pink roses and candles, while wearing a tuxedo that matched Mete’s.
Marcy added, “He really wanted to surprise Mete with a beautiful moment that he would remember forever. Randy and I have been friends for a long time and I was excited to create the perfect proposal for him.”
As for their wedding plans, Randy is thinking about Princess Cruise Lines, which has cruises to Greece and Italy with stops in Istanbul. So either in Italy or on the ship, the two will exchange vows. “Then we’ll go to Istanbul. We can get off the ship and have a reception for all his friends there and his family,” he added.
