A new social media post by Liam Gallagher has sparked a fresh controversy amid the ongoing controversy over ticket prices for Oasis’ reunion tour in 2025.
While tickets sold out online over the weekend, those hoping to secure a seat through Ticketmaster UK were forced to pay a hefty fee.
The original ticket prices started at $97.11, and standing room tickets ranged from $194.87 to $198.15. However, when the final ticket prices dropped, Ticketmaster implemented their dynamic pricing strategy, resulting in a massive increase to $459.30 for a single standing room ticket.
The decision to implement the scheme was made in 2022 to allow for price increases for supply when demand spikes. The rationale for this dynamic pricing system is to “provide fans with fair and secure access to tickets, while also allowing artists and others involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true market value.”
Fans and critics alike have voiced their disappointment as the band prepare for a highly anticipated reunion tour next summer, which will include 17 shows across the UK and Ireland.
Adding fuel to the fire, an old tweet from Liam recently resurfaced.
In 2017, he tweeted, “$350 to go see rkid in the US what the hell, when will this stop like you used to LG x.”

Liam has criticised brother Noel Gallagher over ticket prices for his US tour – which are now similar to the strategy used for tickets for Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour.

A backlash ensued as fans expressed disappointment and frustration over the high ticket prices.
@marcoconterio replied to X’s old post, “Not feeling so well, Liam.”
@iGerLynch added, “Imagine doing the same……….”
@LeAdderNoire also said, “£380 ($498.66) for a GA ‘reaction price’ when people have been queuing for 3 hours. What kind of bastard would do that? Like you. BA x”
“Delete this, it’s embarrassing you b*tch,” suggested @glazersleavenow, while another X user, @cwo1983, exclaimed, “When will this stop Liam, who has £400 ($524.91), plus other expenses including hotel and food. Surplus of over £1000 ($1312.28) for a gig. Things have to change. There’s no better time than now.”
Had to stop my son from paying this. What a scandal. Publicly soliciting fans. What a sad day.
