According to a new report, Liam Payne was battling drug addiction at the time of his death.

Sources revealed the news and said that Payne is surrounded by people eager to get him on the road and back to making money.

A source said: “Liam is battling a serious drug addiction and his treatment, as those who know him will attest, has not been effective.” Page Six.
The source went on to say that Payne is surrounded by people who want him to make money again even though the singer just got out of rehab.
“They really pushed him to get on the road and get back on tour and he just got out of rehab. How many times have we seen this story where people only care about making money ?” source added.
Executives at Payne’s former label Universal were said to be “uncomfortable” about continuing to work with the star. However, a spokesperson for the record label declined to comment on the situation.

Another source added: “The problem is that it’s not just one person who is responsible for everything, but it’s tempting to blame someone. There are many people involved in working with an artist.”
Page Six went on to report that Payne spent 100 days in rehab in 2023.
However, in the time before his death, Payne was said to be in a “high” state.
A member of Payne’s team seen with him, believed to be named Roger, his manager, approached a witness who had seen some of the erratic behavior the singer This appears to offer an apology, explaining, “I’m sorry, he’s just too high sometimes,” Daily mail report.
The witness went on to note that Payne’s pupils were dilated “and he was behaving in an aggressive manner.”
It is worth noting that the use of the drug remains unconfirmed at this time.

A nearby source Daily mail revealed Payne was dropped from the label due to him taking the wrong direction musically.
“Liam’s advance was huge and he didn’t get it back [it]. Out of all the One Direction guys, Liam was headed in the wrong direction musically,” the source said.
They added: “It seems that Liam’s entire music career that he has built since going solo eight years ago has collapsed, with very little left for him.”
The source went on to say that its removal from the label “devastated” him.
Payne achieved success when he launched his music career with the top 10 hit “Strip That Down”. However, his subsequent singles did not achieve the same success.
Payne finally passed away on October 16 after falling to his death from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina.
