Liam Payne’s Shocking Autopsy: What Is Pink Cocaine?

As new details gradually emerge regarding the sudden and tragic death of former One Direction member Liam Payne, many people have even more questions.

New toxicology test results revealed that the singer had multiple substances in his body. According to Good morning America, These substances include cocaine, benzodiazepine, crack and pink cocaine.

Despite its name, pink cocaine doesn’t actually contain any cocaine in it. According to the National Capital Poison Center, this bright pink powder is often a mixture of several drugs including ecstasy, ketamine, caffeine and a hallucinogen called 2-CB, for the first time was developed to help treat sexual dysfunction and later dropped due to safety concerns.

Although pink cocaine is not inherently addictive, it causes explosions in many clubs across the globe due to its hallucinogenic effects. Many users said they felt “open, sociable and euphoric”. It is said to cause nausea and anxiety, as well as increase body temperature and increase heart rate. Its pink color may come from color dye or strawberry flavoring.

The tragic events that occurred while Payne was under the influence of the substance are not surprising, as the NCPC warns that pink cocaine has impaired many people involved in “physical and sexual assaults, as well as such as psychological trauma”. Long-term effects can include heart problems, behavioral changes, and addiction.

It is also important to note that pink cocaine can be contaminated with drugs other than those mentioned, which makes it difficult to predict a person’s reaction. Opium, bath salts and other hallucinogens were also found in pink cocaine samples.

Payne’s autopsy is not yet complete despite toxicology results, although the report supports the theory that he may have lost consciousness when he fell.
