Ounabara Vocational School offers 21 tests, each consisting of 5 questions drawn from a random pool. To pass the test, players must answer at least 3 out of 5 questions correctly. However, there is a special exam called the Ona Original Ability Exam that can only be unlocked after completing all other exams. This final test contains questions from all previous exams, and players must answer all 5 questions correctly to pass.
Successfully passing the exam not only advances the narrative, but also enhances Ichiban’s personality statistics. However, this stat boost only applies the first time a player completes each exam. Additionally, completing all exams unlocks a side story centered on Maeda, Ona’s original vocational school receptionist. To trigger this side story, players need to fulfill Maeda’s gift request.
Where is Onahara Vocational School located?
If your goal is to reach Onahara Vocational School in Yakuza: Infinite Fortune, head to the southwestern part of the map, accessible via Harbor Street. The threat level in this area is medium (out of 10) at level 7, and the enemies near the school are about level 30. It’s wise to prepare accordingly and either avoid confrontations or make sure you’re strong enough to deal with them, perhaps tackling some dungeons ahead of time.

Approaching the spinning golden symbol triggers a mandatory substory cutscene and your first quiz. Passing or failing does not matter; you can take other quizzes later. Note that if you trigger the substory but decide to bypass it, you will still need to complete it later, as Onahara Vocational School is not skipped.
Once inside the building, simply walk through the glass doors and interact with the receptionist to start taking the quiz. Utilizing this method effectively increases Ichiban’s traits to level 10, making it a quick way to progress as a character.
