early life
Linda Sebezo is a brilliant actress who was born on November 11, 1964 and grew up in Rockville, Soweto.
She is an outspoken and courageous child. Her passion for acting began at a young age.
She would present films and theatre performances and her father would watch her.
Growing up, Linda Sebezo had 20 cousins; they weren’t rich, but they were happy.
She grew up determined to become a nurse, mainly because many of her relatives were nurses and, in those days, there were a predetermined number of professions available to people of color.
However, she never thought she would become an actress or performer because there were no acting and music schools during the apartheid policy period.

South African actress Linda Sebezo began her professional acting career with a Gibson Kent production in 1980. She first met the late writer and author Gibson Kent in 1979 while hiking with her friends.
At that time, she revealed to Gibson Kent that she wanted to be an actress and he invited her to his studio in Dube, Soweto. There, she had the opportunity to meet other talented people, such as Brenda Fassi, who was also a student of Gibson.
