Lindsey Abudei was born in Jos in 1987. She is an Igbo woman from Delta State. Both her parents are music lovers.

Lindsey Abudei has been recording music since 2004 with MI Abaga, Jesse Jagz and Ruby Gyang during her college days.
In 2010, she auditioned for the third season of the West African fame program. Although she dropped out early in the competition, she managed to attract a loyal fan base.
After this, she joined jazz band The Jazzcats but did not stay with them for long.
In 2013, she released her first EP, an eight-song album titled Brown: The EP. Jesse Jagz, Atta Lenell, and IBK were the producers of the EP.
In 2014, she began recording her debut album, And The Bass Is Queen. In 2015, she filmed a music video for one of the songs, “Out the Magazine”. The video was directed by Kemi Adetiba.
Lindsey was awarded a music residency in New York in 2017. As a result, she became an Art OMI Music Fellow.
On April 3, 2020, she released the single “One on the Outside”. The song is one of the tracks from her upcoming EP “Kaleidoscope”.
She recorded an acoustic solo, “Abu Ya,” which appeared on Brymo’s 2020 album Yellow.
She has cited artists such as Norah Jones, Stevie Wonder, Eva Cassidy, Sade, and Robert Fleck as major influences on her music.
