early life
Lisa Owen is of mixed race. Her father is British and her mother is from Cambodia, a Southeast Asian country. She is very proud of her mixed heritage and considers herself Cambodian. She has Khmer ancestry due to her mother.
Blessed with a natural voice, she decided she wanted to be a singer at the age of seven. The Owenses noticed Lisa’s strong voice and enrolled her in music lessons. By the age of 13, she had met with a producer and started recording music.
