Early life and education
Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee to the famous Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. As the only child of this legendary couple, her birth was a watershed in their lives. She has a brother named Navarone Garibaldi.
Unfortunately, when Lisa Marie was four years old, her parents decided to go their separate ways, and she and her mother moved to Los Angeles. However, despite the distance between them, they still cherished the summers and holidays spent with their father at his luxurious Graceland estate in Memphis.
Presley had a difficult childhood as her father died unexpectedly from a heart attack in 1977 when she was only nine years old. This traumatic event was a critical turning point in her life and severely affected her emotional health.
Presley found it difficult to accept the fact that her father died at a young age. She was immersed in great grief and found it difficult to accept her father’s death. In order to relieve the pain, she began to abuse drugs and became addicted to drugs and alcohol. These bad habits eventually led her to a path to drop out of high school.
The John Thomas Day School in Los Angeles County and the Ojai School in Ventura County, California, were just two of the many schools Lisa Marie Presley attended during her unorthodox education. She also briefly attended a school in Los Angeles that was affiliated with the Church of Scientology.
Presley said she didn’t like school and felt excluded by her peers, so she decided to drop out at the age of 17.
Profession
After Presley debuted on the music scene in the late 1990s, her career took off, and in 2003 she released her debut studio album, To Whom It May Concern, which was a huge commercial success.
The album soared to number five on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart, showcasing Presley’s extraordinary talents and resonating with audiences across the country.
Notably, the album sold over 500,000 copies in the United States, an astonishing achievement that solidified Presley’s status as a rising star. The Recording Industry Association of America certified the album gold in recognition of her achievement.
Presley’s second studio album, Now What, was released in 2005. Although it did not achieve the same success as her debut, it still peaked at number 12 on the respected Billboard 200 chart.
