Lookism Season 1 Review
During the school’s annual music festival, students from all grade levels gather to watch their friends perform. The studio’s music director attended the event and believed that Kim Ho Bin could be a talented artist he wanted to sign. Jin and his friends took the stage as the penultimate, while Deok-Hwa and Park performed last.
After the performance, Jin was convinced that he had won and provoked Deok-Hwa backstage, leading Park to threaten retaliation. However, Deok-hwa plans to seek revenge through music he writes and composes, which he believes will transcend Kim’s performance, which is backed by professional musicians.
Although Park’s initial stage notes were somewhat clumsy, Deok-hwa proved to be a natural performer, similar to his greatest inspiration Eminem. During the performance, Park overcame his stage fright and found comfort in thinking about his beloved mother.
Their emotional performance earned them the title of winner. Surprisingly, the music director approaches them but gives the contract to Park instead of Kim, ignoring Deok-hwa because of his ordinary appearance. In response, Park declined the offer, showing no respect for the director or his famous record label.
