Lords of the Fallen Path of Devotion Walkthrough
Upon arriving at the Path of Devotion and activating the Vestige of Dieter (Path of Devotion Memorial), it’s advisable to rest and prepare. Your companion, Thehk-Ihir, will appear to the left. He offers merchant services, so feel free to talk to him. Behind him lies the Ring – Dark Crusader’s Convalescence.
- Proceed along the path, but be cautious of the Marksman and Radiant Hound patrols. Pay attention when passing the entrance to Belled Rise on the right to avoid engaging the enemies. Defeat the patrollers and loot the corpse for Large Deralium Shards x2.
- As you progress, you’ll encounter a more open area with a hill. Below, there’s a group of Penitents, and atop the hill, you’ll face a Holy Bulwark, Marksman, and Radiant Hound. Engage the Umbral Parasite on the hill first, then handle the Marksman and Hound. Subsequently, deal with the Holy Bulwark and the remaining Penitents.
- Following the battle, you’ll find valuable loot. Atop the hill, discover the Weapon – Anvil Hammer. Along the wall to the right, you’ll find Seething Vigor Skull x1. Behind the hill, near the cliff edge, lies a Stigma. Exercise caution for Umbral Scouring x2.
- At the base of the hill, where Penitents prayed, find a wall corpse with Umbral Sorcery – Diminishing Missile.
- Look for a large tree by the cliff’s edge to the left of the hill. In Umbral, you’ll find a Large Manastone Cluster x3 and Ammunition Satchel x3. Descend the Umbral ladder to reach an exclusive platform below.
- On this platform, you’ll encounter Remnants and two Womb of the Damned enemies. Defeat them and interact with the wallcorpse for a Saintly Quintessence.
- Return to the main path and locate an Emergence Effigy. Confront a group of enemies, including Penitents and Avowed. Remove the Umbral Parasite’s protection and proceed.
- Further along, face a patrolling Crimson Rector. Defeat him and clear the path to find Smite Cure x2.
- Continue until you reach a larger area with a hill. Atop the hill, confront a Sin-Piercer and three Radiant Hounds. Draw the Hounds back and eliminate them, then deal with the Sin-Piercer.
- After the area is clear, loot the hilltop corpse for Throwable – Enhanced Radiant Parchment. Nearby, find Manastone Cluster x2 and Ammunition Satchel x1.
- Before leaving, look left from the entry point and identify a cliff. In Umbral, extend a bridge by pulling a wallcorpse.
- Cross the bridge to a circular platform, where you’ll find a Stigma. Collect Umbral Scouring x2 and prepare for an optional boss fight against Isaac.
Note: Strategy for the boss fight will be provided later.
- From where you fought the Sin-Piercer, take a second path leading away. Find an Emergence Effigy and face Marksmen, Avowed, and Penitents. Eliminate them and loot the nearby corpse for Manastone Cluster x2 and Ammunition Satchel x1.
- Approach a large gate with Pureblades kneeling in front. Clear the area, then loot Bleed Cure x2 and Weapon – Enhanced Lump Hammer.
- Enter the gate and climb the ladder on the right. Follow the path to another part of Skyrest Bridge.
Skyrest Bridge:
- Loot the corpse ahead for Large Manastone Cluster x3 and Ammunition Satchel x3. Observe the lower area with Marksmen, both on raised platforms and at the base of stairs, along with a Crimson Rector and Umbral Parasite. Deal with the Parasite first, then tackle the enemies strategically.
- Climb down, eliminate the Parasite, and take out the Marksmen. Proceed down the stairs and defeat the remaining enemies. Loot the nearby corpse for Weapon – Pureblade Mace and Shield – Pureblade Shield.
- Inside the tower, kick down the ladder to create a shortcut.
- With this shortcut open, you’ve completed the Path of Devotion. Head back to the area in Belled Rise where the path split to continue.
- After your exploration of the Path of Devotion, return to the large room in Belled Rise where the path split. There are two routes to explore: stairs on the left and a path to the right. Both lead to different areas. Note that the left stairs lead directly to a boss fight, but hold off on that for now.
- If you’ve come from the Path of Devotion, you’ll recognize that the right stairs lead back there. It’s a good idea to ascend the right stairs and defeat the Pureblade (if not done already). Beware of a rolling barrel down the right stairs if you approach the Pureblade. After dealing with him, check beside the stairs for an Umbral Flowerbed if needed. This could be helpful for the upcoming boss fight.
- Now, let’s face the boss.
Boss: The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity
- The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity is a fairly straightforward boss for this stage of the game. If you’ve encountered Sacred Resonance characters before, you’ll be familiar with their attack patterns. Note that his weapon inflicts Bleed and Holy, causing damage over time debuffs.
- In this fight, there are Umbral Parasites protecting the boss, making him invulnerable until you deal with them. One Umbral Parasite is in the small gazebo area at the center, and the other follows the boss. Additionally, several Pilgrims will shoot projectiles at you unless dealt with.
- Start by eliminating the Pilgrims. Lure the boss around the gazebo to the rear, then quickly return to the front and deal with the ranged attackers. Once the Pilgrims are gone, focus on the boss.
- The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity has a few attacks. He starts with a three-hit combo: two overhead slams followed by a horizontal slash. He can also perform a sing slam or attempt to grab you with his bare hand (this deals significant damage, so avoid it). The latter two attacks are less common than his combo.
- Midway through the fight, he can power up, temporarily gaining additional holy power. During this phase, he becomes faster. His melee combos, including ground slams, now spawn golden thorny growths causing AOE holy damage. While in this state, he can also trigger a holy AOE explosion.
- The key is to learn his moves and practice dodging or parrying. When he’s in the powered-up state, roll past him after the overhead slams to avoid the AOE and strike his exposed back.
- Continue chipping away at his health until he’s defeated.
- For defeating The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity, you’ll gain 7,450 Vigor, a Vestige Seed, and the Weapon – Sacred Resonance Hammer. There’s also an Umbral Flowerbed here if needed. Loot the gazebo for Ammo – Radiantburst Parchment.
- Before leaving, look to the right of the gazebo to find stairs leading upwards. At the top, unlock a door with the Pilgrim’s Perch Key. Inside, you’ll find a Treasure Chest containing Inferno Sorcery – Adyr’s Hardiness.
- Exit the boss room to reach the stormy wooden clifftop passage of Pilgrim’s Perch, higher up this time. Head left to find Large Deralium Shards x2 in a dead end. Then, head back past the boss door and continue in the opposite direction to find Throwable – Enhanced Bloody Hatchet.
- Use your Umbral Lamp to cross the gap ahead (there’s an Umbral bridge). On the far side, find a ladder and a path leading past it. Just behind the ladder, an Ardent Penitent is waiting to ambush you.
- After dealing with the Ardent Penitent, continue along this lower path. Enter Umbral to find a ramp at the end and kill the Pilgrim on the other side of the gap. Loot the Treasure Chest inside the door here for Small Deralium Fragments x4, Regular Deralium Nuggets x3, and Large Deralium Shards x2.
- Continue inside the tunnel. You’ll find a ladder you can kick down to create a shortcut back to the Vestige of Blind Agatha (Pilgrim’s Perch Bellroom).
- Return outside and back to the previous ladder, then climb to the ledge above. Follow the stairs upwards. Beware of a Pilgrim hiding behind a wooden barricade. Take him out and continue up to deal with another Corrupted Pilgrim. Be cautious around the edges due to a Pureblade.
- After defeating the enemies, proceed inside. Midway along the tunnel corridor, find an Umbral Flowerbed if needed.
- At the far end, exit onto another wooden platform. Here, you’ll face a pair of Marksmen, a Pureblade (protected by an Umbral Parasite), and a Crimson Rector. It’s wise to lure the Pureblade back into the tunnel to fight him out of sight of the Marksmen before dealing with the Crimson Rector. Then, clear out the Marksmen.

Lords of the Fallen Gameplay
In “Lords of the Fallen,” you play from a viewpoint behind your character. You can fight enemies using both close combat weapons and magic, similar to the first game. The way you play and fight in the game is similar to other games like “Souls.”
At the start, you get to make your own character and choose from nine different types. The game world is really big, much bigger than the previous one from 2014. There are two worlds on top of each other. One is called Axiom, where living things are, and the other is Umbral, a place for the dead. Even though they’re in the same space, you can only get to certain places by going between the two worlds.
If you die in Axiom, you’ll go to Umbral and have to come back to Axiom to get back what you lost. But if you die in Umbral, you’ll start again from the last place you saved, and you’ll lose any experience points you didn’t use. There aren’t many places to save your progress in each area, but you can make your own using special materials you find in Umbral from defeated monsters.
Lords of the Fallen Plot
The game is set in a world that was once ruled by a harsh god named Adyr, who was defeated by three heroes – a rogue, a cleric, and a warrior. These heroes, known as the Judges, were later elevated to demigod status. In this world, even minor wrongdoings are punished. Players take on the role of Harkyn, a convicted criminal bearing visible runes on his face, representing his sins.
Harkyn is freed from prison by a monk named Kaslo to stop an invasion of Adyr’s demonic forces, the Rhogar, near the Hand of God mountains. He encounters powerful beings known as Rhogar Lords, invading from an unknown realm. With the help of an explorer named Yetka, he finds the Pathway – a portal to the Rhogar Realm, once a temple of Adyr, now banished and sealed by the Judges.
In the Rhogar Realm, Harkyn reclaims the stolen Crystal of Travels from the Crafter, an immortal being. He successfully halts the invasion. Returning to the monastery, he’s tasked by Antanas to slay the revived Adyr. However, Harkyn senses something amiss and confronts a mysterious monster. He unlocks the Chamber of Lies and encounters a peculiar demon tied to Yetka’s family. Harkyn must decide whether to kill it or let Yetka go with it. Finally, he defeats the last Lord and converses with Adyr, who believes humanity requires a god for order. Harkyn receives a special rune to restore Adyr’s power.
Back at the monastery, Harkyn faces monsters, evidence of Antanas’ dark experiments on monks. Antanas’ forces label Harkyn a traitor for sparing Adyr. Harkyn confronts Antanas and learns that the transformed Antanas killed Kaslo. Harkyn defeats and kills Antanas, then chooses to use the Rune of Adyr to either revive Adyr, kill Adyr, or give it to the Crafter, leading to a neutral ending with Adyr dormant.
