Lord of the Fallen gameplay
In Lords of the Fallen, you play from a third-person perspective and fight using melee weapons and magic, reminiscent of the first game. The gameplay style draws inspiration from games like Souls.
At the beginning of the game, you have the opportunity to create your own character from nine different classes. The game world is much larger than its 2014 predecessor, with two overlapping realms. Axiom is the realm of the living and Umbral is the realm of the dead. Although they coexist, certain locations can only be accessed by switching between the two worlds.
If you die in Axiom, you will be teleported to Umbral and must return to Axiom to retrieve your lost property. However, dying in Shadow means starting from the last saved point and giving up unused experience points. Save points are scarce in each area, but you can craft your own using special materials collected from defeated creatures in the shadows.
