On Thursday, One Direction broke their silence on Payne’s death, saying they were “absolutely devastated” by the sad events. Now, Tomlinson has given One Direction fans and mourners his own personal statement as well as a remembrance of Liam’s life.
Writing on Instagram, Tomlinson said: “The first time I met Liam was when he was 16 and I was 18, I was immediately amazed by his voice but more importantly as time passed I got the chance to meet and the kind brother I’ve always wished for.”
