Madden 24 Update 1.12 Patch Notes
Madden 24 Update 1.12 patch notes bring a number of improvements and fixes to enhance the gaming experience. A major highlight is the introduction of a Franchise Mode cross-platform beta, allowing players to participate in cross-platform play after downloading the update. The patch demonstrates EA’s commitment to post-launch improvements to the game, showcasing a combination of content updates and critical bug fixes.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue that prevented defenders equipped with “Edge Threat” from using non-involvement pass rush moves.
- Developer Note: We have adjusted the tolerance on non-involved pass rush actions to trigger more actions. This fix will allow pass rushers to use pass rush actions that trigger before being attacked by a blocker.
- Fixed an issue where command abilities were not giving the user 2 adjustments when the quarterback was walking to the foul line.
- Adjusted fatigue logic so that defenders who are not dedicated to rushing the passer will suffer a heavier fatigue penalty when engaging pass blockers that are much larger than them.
- Developer Note: With the prevalence of defensive back blitzes being used as the primary defense, we have noticed that in many cases the linebacker will be caught by a tight end or offensive lineman who is bigger and stronger than the defensive back, but the blitzing DB will be able to pass Engage in this mismatch over and over again without feeling fatigued. Now, if a defender is not a dedicated pass rusher and has a power move and skill move rating below 70, but he weighs 90 pounds or more, he is going to take a serious fatigue hit.
Franchise model

- Developer Note: Please note that this feature is in live testing and can be implemented in any league. However, please note that we strongly recommend starting a new franchise file for Crossplay in case our team needs to temporarily disable the feature during live testing.

Madden NFL 24 Gameplay
In Madden NFL 24, the gameplay brings some cool new stuff. One of the big things is SAPIEN technology, which allows players to move in a more realistic way that looks more like the real deal. You’ll notice referees returning to the field, better blocking, and something called Fieldsense. They’ve also enhanced the hitting and tackling games, adding over 1,000 new animations for added excitement.
Franchise mode gets a boost if you’re passionate about managing a team. Mini-games return for the first time since Madden NFL 12, and you’ll find more trade locations, additional cities, and new uniforms for relocating teams. The free agency and draft systems have also been revamped to make things more interesting. Superstar Mode is back for those who want to be a star player.

National Football League (NFL)
The National Football League (NFL) is a major event in the American football world, with 32 teams divided into the American Football League (AFC) and the National Football League (NFC). Each NFL season begins with a three-week preseason in August, followed by an 18-week regular season from early September to early January. After the regular season, the seven teams from each conference (including four conference championship teams and three wild-card teams) will compete in the playoffs.
That leads to the Super Bowl in February, where the winners of the AFC and NFC titles will face off. The NFL has a rich history since its founding in 1920, evolving from the American Professional Football Association (APFA) and introducing a playoff system in 1933. With its massive popularity, high revenue, and iconic events like the Super Bowl, the NFL remains a professional sports powerhouse.
