Maggie Aderin-Pocock is a British science communicator, broadcaster and engineer. She is best known for her work on the BBC science programme The Sky at Night and is the author of several books on astronomy and space exploration.

Her middle name, Ebunoluwa, means “gift of god” in Yoruba. She attended La Sainte Union Convent School in North London, where she was diagnosed with dyslexia.

After graduating from Cambridge, Maggie worked as a research engineer at the European Space Agency. She worked on the development of the Giotto spacecraft, which was the first spacecraft to fly through a comet cloud.
In 1995, she joined the BBC as a presenter of The Sky at Night. She has hosted the show ever since and has become one of the most popular science presenters in the UK. She has also appeared on other BBC programmes, such as Horizon and Bang Goes the Theory.
