early life
On October 15, 2002, Malu Trevijo was born in Havana, the capital of Cuba. Her parents named her Maria Luisa Trevijo. When she was only a few months old, the Trevijo family immigrated from Cuba to Spain in search of a wider world. The family settled in Madrid.
Maru Trevijo has spent twelve years of her life in Madrid. She speaks fluent Spanish and English. She showed an interest in acting at an early age and played both leading and supporting roles in school plays. She is also an excellent dancer and is particularly fond of belly dancing.
