In April 2020, George suffered a heart attack but recovered from cardiac arrest. After a 911 call from his wife Brittney, he was rushed to the hospital after the host experienced severe chest pain. On the way to the hospital, he suffered his first heart attack. After arriving, doctors took George into surgery and placed a stent in one of his arteries, but the stent failed.

He then suffered a second major heart attack while walking around the hospital. During the procedure to have a third stent inserted into his artery, he suffered a third heart attack while on the operating table. The surgical team performed a quadruple bypass, and George was placed in critical condition after being admitted to the ICU.

After that, his condition stabilized.

George, who has hosted the show since 2011, celebrated his 10th anniversary in April 2021.
