early life and education
Marija Naumova-Bullīta was born on June 23, 1973 in Riga, Latvian SSR, USSR. She was the daughter of Vladimir Naumovs and Yevgenia Soldatova, and had a brother named Andrei Naumov. Naumova attended the University of Latvia and received a law degree. She is of Russian descent and her religious beliefs are not publicly known.

Marija Naumova’s career began in 1994 when she was discovered by famous Latvian musician Raimonds Pauls. A year later, she participated in a TV talent show and although she didn’t win, she caught the attention of the audience.
