Dominique Barber, a former safety for the Houston Texans, and Thomas Barber and Thomas were linebackers for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He attended Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota.
He earned SuperPrep and PrepStar All-Midwest selections in football, as well as a unanimous All-State selection. He ran for 1,778 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior, while also leading his team with 10 interceptions.
