Early life
Masterkraft was born with the name Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweka.
He was born in one of the most crowded places in Lagos state, called Ajegunle, into a middle-class family.
He is of Ibo tribe origin in Enugu state, southeastern Nigeria.
From a young age, Masterkraft was very intelligent and wanted to become an Accountant.
Despite coming from a poor background, he studied very hard in school and always topped among the students at the school he attended, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government School, Ajegunle, in the Common Entrance Examination and was granted a scholarship by the government.

Unfortunately, his ignorant and uneducated parents did not know what a scholarship meant; therefore, they turned down the opportunity. Masterkraft’s dream of becoming an accountant was shattered at that time, but the superstar continued to move forward.
His father died when he was young, leaving a huge void in the family and many years of hardship. He had to do manual labor to support his family and himself.
Education
Masterkraft was educated in his local town of Ajegunle at Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government School in Lagos State.
But unfortunately, he could not continue his studies due to financial reasons, although he was offered a scholarship by the Lagos State government after his high performance in the common entrance examination at the school, his parents inadvertently refused, instead wanting him to go for an apprenticeship with a business owner in Alaba market, Lagos State.
Career
Masterkraft began his extraordinary career as a DJ while playing music in his church children’s choir at a very young age.
His journey to becoming a professional DJ was a bumpy one. The main reason was the sudden death of his father, which forced him to struggle on the streets of Lagos doing menial jobs while remaining steadfast in his determination to achieve his dream of becoming a DJ.
Masterkraft was introduced to him in 2009 after he signed with one of Nigeria’s biggest record labels Kennis Music as an official DJ.
He was undeterred, even after he met Nigeria’s most famous rap artist, MI Abaga, who later introduced him to another big artist in the music industry named Banky W.
Masterkraft is increasingly popular and has written many hit songs in Nigeria such as: “Girl” by Bracket featuring Wizkid, Fine Lady featuring Lynxx and Wizkid, Jasi by Bank W and many more.

He rose to fame after producing Olamide’s hit dance song Indomie with Yoruba rapper, CDQ.
Masterkraft is a versatile music producer who is widely recognized in Nigeria and beyond. Sources say he charges no less than five hundred thousand naira to produce a song and three hundred thousand naira to perform on stage.
