Wanted’s Max George reveals new health concerns weeks after emergency heart surgery.
The 36-year-old singer is undergoing lung surgery and doctors are checking to see if his lymph nodes are enlarged.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, George revealed that doctors needed to do a lung biopsy to find out the cause of his recent heart problems.
“Doctors discovered the lymph nodes on my lungs were swollen,” he said. This could be a sign of the cause of my heart problems.”
“I have to have a lung biopsy in a few weeks.”
George was hospitalized in December and had a pacemaker inserted for heart problems.
He is recovering at home with his 23-year-old girlfriend, Maisie Smith.
This experience even caused the singer to write a will because he thought his health crisis could be life-threatening.
His first hospital stay was “really scary,” he said, because he was one of the much older patients and was really nervous.
While that was the case, George remained hopeful after his pacemaker surgery, saying he felt “alive again” as his heart started working again.
However, after he started feeling sick, his mother, Babs, acted quickly and made sure he sought medical attention, an action for which he was grateful.
George is still recovering and regularly posts updates online, including a treadmill session he recently completed for his rehabilitation.
He also reported a “pulsating feeling” in his chest after the surgery, which doctors are monitoring.
Support from family, friends and fans has been pouring in for the singer as he enters this challenging period, awaiting the outcome of scheduled procedures.
