Massimo was born in 1991 to the Ibrahim family. His birth name was Lukman, which was given to him by his parents.

He comes from a Muslim family. He grew up in Lagos city and lived in the mainland area during his growing up period. He is a Yoruba boy from Osun state.

From a very young age, Massimo began to show his artistic talent. He started writing lyrics in middle school. Later, he would perform these songs at school events, community performances and carnivals.
