Is Brooke Katz Leaving CBS 11 News Dallas?
CBS 11 News in Dallas, Texas, no longer has Brooke Katz as a news anchor. Viewers in the Dallas area noticed that when they tuned into News 11, Brooke—who moved from the afternoon newscast to the morning newscast in 2022—was completely absent. If you visit the CBS 11 News Dallas website, veteran anchor Brooke Katz’s bio is no longer visible.
According to FTV Live, Brooke and the channel have yet to reveal the reason for their split as of writing.
Brooke joined CBS 11 as an anchor and reporter. She started at KTVT as a Saturday night anchor and reported on general assignment throughout the week. She continued to anchor the 4 p.m. MF newscast while also reporting two parts a week for a health show.
In January 2022, Brooke became the Morning News Anchor. She anchors the three-hour MF morning news show. She also focuses on creating health content for all newscasts and platforms. Additionally, she creates, produces, and hosts a half-hour health news show that airs once a week.

Brooke Katz Career
Before Brooke Katz began her career as a television reporter and anchor, she worked in a variety of fields. She was a personal trainer at the East Shore Athletic Club from 1999 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2005, she was also a performer at SHADES, which stands for Student Health Advocates Developing Educational Scenarios. They were paid to write, direct, and perform their own scenes for students and outside organizations. All of the scenes dealt with potentially controversial topics. After the performance, there would be a question and answer period, often sparking a debate, with our audience.
In 2007, Brooke joined WCBD-TV as a Sales Development Coordinator. Her goal was to “assist the sales team in showcasing the station’s wins! I developed one-pagers and created materials for book discussions.” After leaving in November 2010, she joined WHAS-TV as a News Anchor/Traffic Anchor/Reporter.
After leaving the station, Brooke joined WCNC-TV as an Anchor/Reporter/Traffic Reporter.
Her stint at WCNC-TV ended in July 2019. She joined KTVT CBS DFW, her current television station.

Brooke Katz is the daughter of Barry Teeter and Terri Bell.
Her father is gone. Brooke lost her father in 2006. “For the first time in a long time, I’ve felt the familiar pain of my father’s absence,” she wrote in 2014. “Remember to hold tight to those you love and cherish the memories of those you’ve lost.”
Barry may have died from addiction. In 2017, she added, “Addiction is a terrible disease. It brings so much pain to so many families. Almost as painful – the stigma and shame associated with it. Please – don’t be ashamed or too proud to ask for help. Don’t be ashamed to need it. The people who truly love you will always be there for you. The rest? Who cares?! Meanwhile, Brooke’s mother, Terri Bell, passed away on August 22, 2020. Terri was born on November 30, 1954, to Jesse Willard Scott and Sybil Channel. She was a hard worker in the cotton fields of Holland, Missouri, who grew up wanting more for her family. After marrying Aubrey Bell in 1995, Terri moved to Charleston, South Carolina. After starting a lucrative career in radio sales, she went on to found TRW of Charleston, an advertising agency.
Terri’s husband Aubrey is 73 years old. He studied at Lyon College and is currently single.
Brooke has an older brother named Scott Teeter. Scott was a Fire Control Officer on USS FIFE DD991. He was a Fire Control Officer on USS Conolly (DD-979). He lives in Lees Summit, Missouri.
