Is Brooke Katz leaving CBS 11 News Dallas?

CBS 11 News in Dallas, Texas, no longer employs Brooke Katz as a news anchor. Viewers in the Dallas area noticed that when they tuned in to News 11, Brooke — who moved from afternoon to morning news in 2022 — was completely absent. If you visit the CBS 11 News Dallas website, you won’t see veteran anchor Brooke Katz’s bio anymore.

According to FTV Live, Brooke and this channel have not yet revealed the reason for their separation as of the time of writing.

Brooke joins CBS 11 as an anchor and reporter. She began working at KTVT as an anchor on Saturday evenings and reported for general work throughout the week. She continues to host the 4pm news show MF while also filming two episodes per week for the health franchise.

In January 2022, Brooke became Morning News Anchor. She hosted the morning news show MF for three hours. She also focuses on creating health content for all newsletters and platforms. Additionally, she creates, produces and hosts a half-hour health news program that airs once a week.

Before Brooke Katz began her career as a television reporter and anchor, she worked in a variety of fields. She was a personal trainer at Eastern Shore Athletic Club from 1999 to 2003.

From 2003 to 2005, she was also a cast member of SHADES, which stands for Student Health Advocacy for Educational Script Development. They are paid to write, direct and perform their own shoots for students as well as outside organizations. All scenes deal with topics that may be somewhat controversial. In 2007, Brooke joined WCBD-TV as Sales Development Coordinator. Her goal is to “support the sales team in showcasing the station’s wins! I developed a sheet and created materials for book sharing sessions.” After quitting in November 2010, she joined WHAS-TV as Anchor/Traffic Anchor/Reporter.

After leaving the station, Brooke joined WCNC-TV as Anchor/Reporter/Traffic Reporter.

Her gig at WCNC-TV ended in July 2019. She joined KTVT CBS DFW, her current station.

Brooke Katz is the daughter of Barry Teeter and Terri Bell.

Her father is no more. Brooke lost her father in 2006. She wrote in 2014, “This was the first time in a long time that I felt the familiar pain of his absence. Remember to hold tight to those you love and cherish the memories of those you have lost.”

Barry may have passed away from addiction. In 2017, she added: “Addiction is a terrible disease. It brings heartbreak to so many families. She was a hard worker in the cotton fields of Holland, Missouri, growing up wanting more for her family. After marrying Aubrey Bell in 1995, Terri moved to Charleston, South Carolina. After starting a lucrative career in radio sales, she went on to found Charleston’s TRW, an advertising agency.

Terri’s husband, Aubrey, is 73 years old as of 2023. He studied at Lyon College and is currently single.

Brooke has a brother named Scott Teeter. Scott served as a Fire Control Officer at USS FIFE DD991. He served as a Fire Control Officer at USS Conolly (DD-979). He resides in Lees Summit, Missouri.
