TooTurntTony’s father’s name is Gordon “Gordie” Dawson. Gordon is the son of Gordon Scholey Dawson (son of Benjamin Franklin and Helen (Fair) Dawson) and Dorothy Dawson.

Gordon Scholey joined the Marine Corps when he was just 17 years old and served his country honorably from 1943 to 1946. He then went on to earn a degree in Business from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Gordon has been married to his beautiful wife Dorothy (Baranski) for 60 years.

Gordon worked as a Buyer for JL Hudson in downtown Detroit for his entire 40-year career. It was there that he met his wife, Dorothy, who worked in the gift wrapping department. Upon retirement in 1987, they moved from Farmington Hills to God’s country in Northport, MI on Lake Michigan. They happily spent the next 30 years in their beautiful home, where they were frequently visited by family and friends.

In addition to Gordie, Gordon and Dorothy had four other children: Denise Ann (Davis) Flood, Dawn Louise (David) Ely, Benjamin Gregory (Holly) Dawson, and Sandra Leigh (Thomas) Hayes.
