As the story goes, Jonathan and Rachel shared with Zola, a co-worker of Rachel’s, that they tried to set them up on a date. But, their efforts went in vain for some unknown reason. They also had a brief conversation on “Bumble” but they were not serious about dating each other. However, fate played their hand, and all thanks to the Carolina Panthers playoffs, their relationship blossomed at a viewing party.

Eventually, the relationship progressed and they “found things” even though they weren’t “looking for anything.” Romantic Jonathan gave Rachel what she was missing in life, endless love and a lifelong commitment without strings attached.

As Rachel recalls, Jonathan sealed the deal with a romantic trip to the Outerbanks and proposed to her in a way that felt like they were living in a Nicholas Sparks-set world on November 19, 2016.

Unable to contain his emotions, Jonathan declared on his Ig: “11.19.16 will be a day we will never forget. She said yes!! I never understood why people say “when you know, you know” until I met Rachel. 7 days after our first date, I told her I loved her and I have continued to love her every day since. So lucky to call this beautiful woman my fiancée and I can’t wait to spend forever with her!! Best weekend ever!!”

Finally, two years after their engagement, on December 2, 2018, they exchanged wedding vows in Miami, Florida. The couple welcomed their first bundle of joy, daughter Summer Rae Stevens, on June 21, 2021. Rachel is on maternity leave and back to work at Newsmax.

But she decided that taking care of her little girl came first and she is now a full-time mother.
