Born on October 17, 1961 in Umunekwu, Nigeria, John Okafor faced many challenges from an early age. After his father passed away in 1974, he moved to Sapele, where he took on many odd jobs to support himself and his family. From hairdressing to photography and even working in a barrel manufacturing company, John worked tirelessly to make ends meet.
Despite his financial difficulties, Mr. Ibu was determined to pursue his education. After completing his secondary education, he was admitted to Teachers College in Yola, but later dropped out due to financial reasons. Undeterred, he enrolled in Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu, demonstrating his relentless determination to pursue his studies despite the obstacles along the way.
