In season 3 of “The Family Chantel,” viewers learn that Pedro Jimeno is trying to learn more about his father and why his father abandoned Pedro’s family and where he is now. In his quest to learn more about his father, he meets his cousin Niurka who is in South Carolina.

Pedro’s mother Lidia Jimeno seems reluctant to reveal anything about her ex-husband. So Pedro is determined to find out more about him. Growing up, he had no father in his life, the reason being that his father had another family. In episode 4, he meets his cousin Niurka, whom he has never met before.

Niurka shared with Pedro that his father had two sons with his wife and named one of his sons Pedro Jr. This fact hurt him when he learned it. Worse, she complimented her uncle while sharing that he would take the children to the beach every weekend.

He got together with Pedro Sr.’s other siblings and their children to spend some quality time. Niurka went on to praise her uncle, revealing that she had a great childhood because he was a great family man. But Pedro struggled to come to terms with the fact that his father could be a good “family man” when he abandoned his family.

Niurka also revealed that he had never spoken about Pedro or his sister to any of his family members. No one knew about their existence, literally no one in the family. So Pedro decided to meet his mother and grandmother to find out more about his father based on what he knew at the time.

Lidia replied, “You have to look at things the way they are, that he often comes here with a loaded cart. And if we need something, he provides it.”

Pedro was so angry that he went crazy, “All those damn people keep saying nonsense, about how good my father is, like, I don’t understand that nonsense. Don’t tell me he’s a good father just because he gave me money and clothes when I was a kid. If that’s the case, then that’s fine.”
