Bridget E Kelly first met Rahne Jones in 2016 at a piano bar in the West Village, NYC. Quickly falling in love, the two dated for over 4 years before finally deciding to get married on October 10, 2020. However, their original wedding date was postponed due to the pandemic.
The couple then decided to set another wedding date for 2021. Once again, the wedding was postponed as they continued to have difficult conversations about living life as an interracial couple. “Interracial relationships are one of those things where you have to communicate and have difficult conversations. Otherwise, what are you doing? You can’t live in the land of rainbows and sunshine and think everything is okay because your life experiences are different,” Bridget explains.
So, after getting all their “issues” sorted out, the couple finally tied the knot on October 30, 2021 in Central Park, NYC. After going through three different wedding dates during their 2-year engagement, this was quite a feat for the couple.

Back to Bridget, she’s proud to have a “relationship expert” in her husband. As an interracial, same-sex couple in NYC, she wants them to set an example for the world. However, the main change she wants to see comes from “politics.”
“Like right now, everything in our lives, especially our lives, is decided by who gets elected in November or who gets elected to the Supreme Court,” she explained.

Bridget doesn’t talk much about her family. The only time we saw her mother was at Bridget’s wedding in October 2021. In fact, she was the one who created the chocolate-covered Oreo cookies shaped like ghosts, with ribbons that read “Til Death Do Us Part” attached to them.
