Street Outlaws: Fastest in America Actor Ryan Fellows has died in a car accident. News of his death was confirmed via a tweet from the official Street Outlaws Twitter account.

The post read, “The Street Outlaws family is devastated by the tragic accident that resulted in the death of Ryan Fellows. Our deepest condolences go out to Ryan’s loved ones as they deal with this sudden and tragic loss.”

TMZ reports that Ryan died while filming for the show in Las Vegas. On Sunday morning, during one of the races scheduled for the Street OutlawsFellows’ Nissan 240z. This was the 8th race of the 9 scheduled to be filmed. Ryan was close to the finish line when he suddenly lost control of the car. But the car’s controls near the finish line fell off and caught fire. He was trapped in the car, and bystanders were unable to get him out in time.

The competition show “Fastest in America” is currently in its third season, focusing on eight teams of drivers competing for a $100,000 prize. Ryan joined the show in its third season and made a guest appearance as a driver in the Season 5 episode “Memphis.”
