Phaedra’s reason for ending her long-term marriage to Apollo was because he got himself into serious legal trouble. In 2014, Apollo was sentenced to prison for identity theft and fraud. Apollo served six years in prison before his 2014 legal trial. He was involved in a carjacking in the early 2000s. After his release, Phaedra gave him a second chance, thinking he would change. As we all know, she was wrong.

Apollo met his fiancée, Sherien Almufti, through friends in the summer of 2013. For several years, the two were just friends.
