Meet Shonda Stause, Chrishell Stause’s sister

Shonda Stause is the older sister of Chrishell Stause, who appeared on Selling Sunset. While Chrishell has been open about being adopted by her parents Jeff Stause and Ranae Stause, it’s unclear whether Shonda is her parents’ biological child.

However, Shonda, along with her two sisters, has suffered the loss of both her parents. Jeff passed away in April 2019 after battling lung cancer for five years. She took to her Instagram to thank everyone who reached out to the grieving family. In the post, she wrote that she will miss her father very much, and knowing that he has been laid to rest brings her peace.

Then, her mother, Renae, was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in February 2020. And she also had only a few months to live. On February 11, 2020, Shonda’s sister, Sabrina, updated her followers that her mother had started chemotherapy. The situation was made much worse by COVID-19.

Sadly, Renae also passed away in July 2020.

Shortly after her divorce, Chrishell Stause moved into her sister’s home in St. Louis, earning praise from fans. After Chrishell’s bitter divorce from Justin Hartley, Shonda welcomed her sister into her home in St. Louis. She picked her up from the airport and drove her home.

Chrishell admires her sister’s family for their close bond. “They’ve been married for so long and they have such an amazing family,” she shared in her confessional. “I just think it’s hard to be around them because that’s what I want and that’s what I realize I don’t have, but it’s inspiring to know that it could be out there. It could just go a different way than what I was thinking.”
