“Every car has its own story to tell. It’s your dad’s car, the first car you bought as a teenager, the car you always wanted but never had the money to buy,” Derek (the head of the family) explains.

The talented storyteller began his career as national sales manager at Mansfield Brewery PLC from January 1992 to January 1997. Toby then became managing director of Don’t Shoot Production Ltd for a long 10 years, during which time he also appeared as an actor in a number of shows including That Peter Kay Thing (2000), Phoenix Nights (2002), Max & Paddy’s Road to Nowhere (2004), Extras (2007) and Taxi for the Comedian (2007).
Eventually, after 2011, Toby was hired by the BBC as a presenter, where he presented Inside Out Yorkshire and Lincolnshire (from 2013 – 2016) and the Breakfast show on BBC Radio Sheffield.

Fun Fact: Toby paused a breakfast show in May 2021 after a fire alarm went off. He returned to the show 15 minutes later, telling viewers there was no fire and they had no idea what had set off the alarm.
