Love is blind Lydia Arleen got engaged to Milton in season 5 of the show and Milton and viewers got to meet Lydia’s mother Lydia Ivelisse and her brother William-Jose Velez Gonzalez. Despite only appearing briefly, Lydia’s brother was able to sway viewers in his favor.

Will is honest with Milton during their lunch meeting. When Lydia reveals that they had talked about whether their children would be multilingual and that they would only speak Spanish at home. William-Jose adds, “So that wasn’t a discussion. You just said that’s how it was going to be.”

The truth is that Milton had a difficult childhood and was practically forced into adulthood at a young age; as a result, he was emotionally detached in every sense of the word. But despite his awareness of this fact, he made a conscious effort to finally decide that in order to be happy, he needed to share a part of himself with others; he prioritized work, but he also made time for his family.

For Lydia, his admitting that he needs to work on his family relationships is also a plus because it shows that he isn’t afraid to be a work in progress or fall for someone older but still trying to figure themselves out.

When Lydia admits that she dated Uche Okoroha in the outside world and briefly considers whether their reunion here was pure fate, things get a little tense between her and Milton, but they manage to work things out. He immediately decides to propose to his girlfriend because they share a similar sense of humor, a similar level of understanding, and the ultimate desire to love and be loved unconditionally.

Even though he felt a little embarrassed, Milton got down on one knee and proposed to the woman he thought was the one for him in every way. He didn’t even think about it for a second.
