Megan Thee Stallion, TWICE Show Sass in ‘MAMUSHI’ Remix

Megan Thee Stallion invited K-pop powerhouse TWICE to join her iconic hit.

On October 25, Megan Thee Stallion released her deluxe album “Megan: Act II”. Among the songs released, the rapper released a remix version of “MAMUSHI” and featured TWICE members in the song’s lyrics.

TWICE consists of 9 members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. The song’s Japanese emphasis in the chorus was assigned to the Japanese members of the group with Momo taking the lead.

Not only did Megan Thee Stallion give TWICE the opportunity to be a part of her viral song and show off their musical versatility, but also show off their influence as a group global female.

After letting Sana finish the second chorus, leader Jihyo continued: “If you listen once, it makes you look twice as bad/As bad and hot as Meg, nine stallions in your mind.”

Nayeon and Jeongyeon then boasted, “Then we sold out your closet like we did at MetLife / Sold out SoFi, didn’t miss the flight” referring to the scheduled “READY TO BE” concert their history at MetLife and SoFi stadiums.

“We are the originators, global entertainers / Your favorite girl group sings our song, shout, ‘TWICE,'” group rapper Chaeyoung proudly declared.

“I just dance and move my hips / If you don’t understand, you should read my lips,” TWICE’s youngest sister, Tzuyu, followed suit, Dahyun continued, “I’m a star, baby, I’m a star , in the US to Seoul, Korea.”

The song then ends with Mina joining the Japanese-English chorus.
