He is a hotelier and CEO of Askamaya Hotel & Suites. He is the Founder and CEO of Just Ask Club, one of the largest nightlife businesses in Nigeria.

Early life
Dr. Michael Askamaya was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ulom on October 24, 1985. His birth date is recorded as Michael Izuchukwu Ulom. His native name, “Izuchukwu,” means God’s Plan in English.
He is of Igbo ethnicity and hails from the South East region. He is a native of Imo State. Michael Askamaya’s hometown is located in Odoagbara village, Orsu Local Government Area.
However, he was born and raised in Lagos City. He spent his childhood and teenage years in the mainland of Lagos State. Career
Although Dr. Michael Askamaya’s major was in science, he always had a passion for business. He started working during his college days to develop his business acumen.
He secured a job at Nymph International Limited. He started his career with the company as a general research specialist before being promoted to computer analyst. He was then promoted to the position of accountant in the company. By the time he left the organization to observe his NYSC, he had spent more than a year with the company.
Michael Askamaya spent a year serving in the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. After completing his NYSC, he decided to venture into the hospitality business and established Askamaya Hotel and Suites in 2010.
Over the years, he has grown the Askamaya Hotel brand into one of the largest hotels in Nigeria. He is the CEO of this five-star hotel. In 2021, Landmark Africa Leadership Magazine awarded Askamaya Hotel the Most Outstanding Hotel & Suite in Lekki.
In 2022, Michael Askamaya decided to diversify his business interests into the nightlife industry, leading to the creation of the Just Ask Club brand. The club, located in Lekki, Lagos, officially opened its doors on February 11, 2022. The grand opening ceremony was attended by many important figures in the Nigerian business and entertainment industry, such as E-Money, Jowi Zaza, Onyeze, Kennedy “Ned” Okonkwo, DJ Neptune, Teni, Kcee, Wande Coal and Olamide.
Dr. Michael Askamaya is also a real estate tycoon. He has invested in some of the top real estate development companies in Nigeria. He has been at the forefront of the real estate revolution in the country and has provided the necessary funding to create some architectural masterpieces.
