Michiel Huisman (born 18 July 1981) is a Dutch actor, singer and songwriter who has starred in British and Dutch television series and films.
He was a member of the now defunct band Fontane, in which they sang and wrote hit songs that were also used as soundtracks for several films.
He rose to fame with his performances in the fourth (2014) and fifth (2015) seasons of the hit TV series Game of Thrones.

early life
Michiel Huisman is a European born in Amstelveen, the Netherlands.
He is of Dutch descent and grew up in a Jewish family.
He is the brother of former professional football player Dustin Huisman.

Michael Huisman is the lead singer and guitarist of the Dutch band Fontane, which he formed together with Dutch friends Roland Van der Hoofd, Donny Griffioen, Gilles Thunder and Bas Van.
The band released its first official single, “1+1=2”, in 2001; it was followed by “Slapeloos” in 2002 and “Neem Me Mee” in 2003.
The first single was used as the soundtrack for the 2001 film Costa!, and the second single was used as the soundtrack for the 2002 film Full Moon Party.
In addition, the band recorded a full version of the song “Telkens Weer” by the famous singer Willeke Alberti for the soundtrack of the film “Love to Love” in 2013.
Unfortunately, the band was forced to leave two members due to undisclosed circumstances, and Fontane’s entire group subsequently disbanded, with Michiel Huisman also starting to pursue a solo career.
He released his first single “Deel Van Mij” in 2005, followed by the song “Geef Je Over” in 2006. In 2005, he released an album titled “Luctige Verhalen”.
Acting career
Michael Huisman began his acting career as a supporting actor, playing the role of a drifter in the TV series Good Times, Bad Times, the longest-running soap opera ever on Dutch television. He then appeared in the TV movies Uigesloten and Suzy Q.
He then had supporting roles in the entertaining Dutch films Costa! and Volle Maan. He also had a recurring role in the Dutch police drama Spangem.
Michelle Huisman makes his film debut in the lead role in “Phillion Says Sorry,” based on the novel of the same name by Ronald Giphardt.
Michelle Huisman broke onto the international scene in 2006 with a supporting role in an episode of the British television series Dalziel and Pascoe.
