Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer known as Mike Tyson.

Nicknamed “Iron Mike” and “Kid Dynamite”, he competed for fifteen years from 1985 to 2005. He was the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990 and is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in the world.

Mike Tyson’s real name is Michael Gerard Tyson, born June 30, 1966. He is from Brooklyn, New York City. He was born and raised in the Fort Greene neighborhood. He is a member of the African-American community.

Mike Tyson comes from a family of five. He has two siblings, an older brother and an older sister: his siblings are Rodney Tyson, Jimmie Lee Kirkpatrick and Denise Tyson.
