On July 22, 1985, Miki Victoria Sudo was born in New York. She and her family moved to Japan when she was five years old, where they stayed for seven years until returning to the United States.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During a challenge at a nearby restaurant, Miki earned her first money through an eating competition.
Career
After winning a pho eating competition, Sudo began competing in eating events. She rose to become the top female competitor in Major League Eating in 2014 and finished in the top three overall in 2015.
She currently holds four world records, including the female hot dog, ice cream, kimchi, and hot plate records. Sudo won first place in the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2013.
