my world
Minecraft is a sandbox game first released in 2011. It is developed by Mojang Studios and created by Markus “Notch” Persson using the Java programming language. The game went through several private beta versions before being released to the public in May 2009.
The game was fully released in November 2011, with Notch eventually resigning and Jens “Jeb” Bergensten taking over development. Minecraft has become extremely popular, with more than 238 million copies sold as of 2021 and nearly 140 million monthly active players. It has been ported to multiple platforms.
In Minecraft, players enter a blocky, procedurally generated three-dimensional world with nearly infinite terrain. They are free to explore, extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and build various structures, earthworks, and machines.
The game offers different modes, including survival mode where players must collect resources to build and maintain health, and creative mode where players have unlimited resources and the ability to fly. In addition to these modes, players can also encounter and fight hostile mobs. They can also choose to cooperate or compete with other players in the same world.
One of the reasons Minecraft continues to be so popular is its large and active community, which contributes a wide variety of user-generated content. This includes modifications, servers, skins, texture packs and custom maps that introduce new gameplay mechanics and possibilities. The game was critically acclaimed and won several awards. It is often considered one of the greatest video games of all time.
Minecraft has had a major impact beyond the gaming world. It gained widespread attention on social media, inspiring imitations, adaptations and a range of merchandise. The annual Minecon conference also plays an important role in popularizing the game. Additionally, Minecraft has been used in educational settings to teach subjects such as chemistry, computer-aided design, and computer science.
In 2014, Microsoft acquired the Mojang and Minecraft intellectual property for a staggering $2.5 billion. Since then, several spin-off games have been released, including Minecraft: Story Mode, Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft Earth, and the latest version, Minecraft Legends.
Minecraft 1.20.2 Snapshot 23w33a Patch Notes
new function
Player Skins and Names Report
- Player skins and names can now be reported in the social interaction screen
- If a skin or name is reported and found to violate Community Standards, our team of human moderators can take action in several ways:
- No player is allowed to use this skin
- No player is allowed to use this name
- Players who repeat violations will be suspended from online play
- When a skin is banned, players who own it:
- their skin will be removed
- Get a notification when the game starts
- One of the default skins will be automatically assigned
- Multiplayer and single-player games can still be played
- New custom skins can be selected at any time
- When a player’s name is banned, that player:
- Need to choose a new name
- Get a notification when the game starts
- You will not be able to play games online until you change your name
- You can still play solo
- The banned skin or name can no longer be used by any player in the future.
Variety
- Sponges and wet sponges now have their own custom sounds
- The calculation that determines whether a mob can attack players or other mobs has changed
- Added Narrator Hotkeys accessibility option
- Allow using Ctrl+B to turn Narrator on and off
- Added “I want to report them” player reporting category
- A change has been reverted whereby armor decoration patterns will be masked by the underlying armor texture
Changes in mob attack range
- The calculation that determines whether a mob can attack players or other mobs has been changed. Previously, a creature’s horizontal width was used to determine its attack range, while its height had no effect. The area a mob can attack is now its horizontally extending bounding box.
- Here are some situations where the new rules will affect a creature’s range:
- If a creature is completely below you or completely above you, it will not be able to reach you
- When mounted on a medium-sized creature (such as a horse), you will be protected from smaller creatures (such as baby zombies)
- When riding on a tall creature (such as a camel), you will be protected from standard-sized creatures (such as zombies)
- Additionally, pillagers will no longer be able to attack you through several thick walls
- However, to escape the Endermen, you need to be at least 3 blocks from the ground instead of the previous 1.5 blocks.
- Assuming your head is within attack range, mobs will be able to attack you with the bottom of their hitbox
- Buildings that capture hostile mobs may need to be adjusted to be safe
- This change does not affect player attack range, and mobs still need to see the target in order to attack it. We believe this new system will be more intuitive and will lead to more consistent behavior, and we welcome all feedback on this change.
technological changes
- F3+1 (pie chart), F3+2 (FPS and TPS) and F3+3 (bandwidth and ping) can now be used to toggle charts on the debug screen without having to hold down Shift, Alt or Ctrl while the screen is open
Packet changes
- Added decal field for armor decoration patterns (default: false)
- If true, the pattern texture will be masked based on the underlying armor

minecraft snapshot
The official version of Minecraft 1.20.2 snapshot 23w33a brings a lot of new updates and modifications. This update aims to enhance player safety, enrich game dynamics, and improve technical aspects.
Among notable changes, player reports have been optimized and the Minecraft community’s player skin standards are now more strictly adhered to. Additionally, players whose usernames violate the game’s standards must change them in order to participate in online modes.
In this snapshot, significant updates have been implemented to our player reporting tools to ensure player safety online. The ethos of Minecraft is to provide a comprehensive and safe experience for all users.
To this end, Java Edition has introduced a new feature in addition to reporting in-game chat messages. Players can now report not only offensive chat, but also player skins and usernames that violate our community standards.
Like chat reporting, this process still lacks automation. Every reported instance of inappropriate skins or usernames will be manually reviewed by a team of skilled Minecraft moderators.
They will carefully evaluate the evidence provided to determine whether the reported skin or username violates our Community Standards. Skins found to violate these standards will be removed from Minecraft, making them unavailable to any player.
Minecraft gameplay
Minecraft is a popular 3D sandbox game that offers players a lot of freedom and creativity. In the game, there are no required goals or objectives, allowing players to choose how they want to play and what tasks they want to complete.
The game mainly uses a first-person perspective, but players can also choose to switch to a third-person perspective. The game world is made up of various 3D objects called “blocks”, which represent different materials such as dirt, stone, ore, trees, water, and lava. Players can mine and place these blocks, allowing them to build and create structures.
A unique feature of Minecraft is the inclusion of redstone, a material that can be used to create mechanical devices, circuits, and complex systems. This adds a level of engineering and logic to the gameplay, allowing players to build complex contraptions within the game.
The game world in Minecraft is effectively infinite and procedurally generated, meaning it is dynamically created as the player explores. The world is divided into different biomes, including deserts, jungles, snow, plains, mountains, forests, caves, and bodies of water or lava. The terrain is diverse, providing players with a variety of environments to explore and interact with.
The time system in the game follows a day and night cycle, with each cycle lasting 20 minutes in real time. This adds to the realism of the game, as players must consider the time of day when planning activities. For example, hostile mobs like zombies and skeletons are more active at night, while passive animals like cows and chickens are more abundant during the day.
When starting a new game, players can choose from five different game modes and four difficulty levels. Game modes include Survival, Creative, Adventure, Spectator, and Hardcore. Each mode offers a unique gaming experience that caters to different play styles and preferences. Difficulty levels range from Peaceful (no hostile creatures) to Hard (increased difficulty and challenge).
Players will also encounter various types of mobs in the game. Passive mobs, such as cows, pigs, and chickens, can be hunted for food and crafting materials. Hostile mobs, such as zombies, skeletons, spiders, and creepers, pose a threat to the player and may attack if provoked. There are also unique creatures, such as endermen, which have special abilities such as teleportation and block manipulation.
In addition to the default character skins, players also have the option to create custom skins to personalize their in-game appearance. This allows for a more unique and personalized experience. Overall, Minecraft offers players a vast and immersive world to explore, build, and create. Its open-ended nature and diverse game options make it a favorite among players of all ages.
