A few months ago, Minecraft Legends received a major update (1.17) on both PC and consoles, bringing a series of exciting improvements to the beloved cube world of Minecraft. The game continues to impress with its immersive experience, and now it’s getting another update to further improve its quality. As 2023 approaches, a year filled with diverse video game production, the dimensional war in Minecraft Legends has begun.
Version 1.17.44512 brings significant changes and enhancements, now it’s time to explore what’s included in this update. The patch notes reveal some notable changes, including adjustments to the construction, deconstruction, and collection speeds of lower racks. In addition, the user interface has been completely revamped to provide players with a more refined and intuitive gaming experience.

- Improvements to the matching lobby to allow more players to match games together
- Swords now deal a small amount of damage to piglin bosses and buildings (except walls and portals), and more damage to most piglins
- Banner view now shows the health bar of enemy buildings
- Build, deconstruct, collect, and clear netherrock faster during the campaign
- Optimized and shortened the process of game prologue
- Player goals and objectives now appear in the second act of the game
- UI, HUD and map improvements

Gameplay improvements:
Match improvements:
- Improvements have been made to backend lobby creation/joining technology to ensure players are more easily found by players and teams when signed in to a Microsoft account
- Addressed an issue where players could be listed on the wrong team in the team list
- Fixed an issue where player profile pictures and nicknames could be lost after joining a lobby via matchmaking on PC
- Fixed an issue where players could be taken to the main menu background with no user interface after exiting a PVP match (MCLG-27)
Hero improvements:
- The player’s sword attacks now deal a small amount of damage to most piglin structures (except portals and piglin walls)
- Sword attacks now damage more enemies per swing
- Sword attack knockback slightly increased
- Sword attacks while sprinting now deal double the knockback
- Sword attacks are more effective against many piglins, such as fire dwarves, barbarians, sporebacks, and war pigs
- Sword attacks now deal a small amount of damage to large piglins such as lava launchers, portal guards, and Pigmadillos
- Sword attacks now deal very small amounts of damage to piglin bosses
Biorecall improvements:
- If another player has recently issued a command to a creature, there is now a small delay before recalling them
- Improved visual effects and sound feedback for mobs during Operation Recall
- Increased recall action duration to 8 seconds (was 2 seconds)
- Players can now interrupt recall operations performed by other players on a specific creature or group of creatures by luring or commanding those creatures before the recall operation is complete. This allows players to “catch” certain mobs and prevent them from being recalled by teammates.
Preface improvements:
- The first village the player needs to go to at the start of the prologue has been moved so that it is closer to the Well of Destiny and is always directly in front of the player when starting
- Reduced the player’s sense of urgency throughout the prologue to allow more time to explore the world
- Improved the timing and target text of piglin spawn banners during the prologue’s village defense beat to help indicate where piglins will attack from and when they are successfully defeated
- Improved animation timing of cages during village defense to be more in sync with the on-screen action bar
- Piglin structures in the prologue are now easier to destroy with Plank Golems
Target improvements:
- Health bars have been added to enemy structures when using banner view
- Improvements have been made to Direct and Advanced Direct controls to allow units to respond to orders more reliably
- Fixed an issue where the Cobblestone Golem would sometimes get stuck and become unresponsive when attacking buildings
- Addressed an issue where puppets could get stuck under doors and no longer attack
Biobalance improvements:
- Fixed an issue with Pigmadillo’s rolling attack, making it hit enemies more reliably
- Pigmadillos are now more powerful than plank golems and skeletons
- Plank Golem now takes 125% more damage from rolling attacks than before
- Skeletons now take 40% more damage from rolling attacks than before
- Lava launchers are no longer stunned by certain melee mobs
Building and resource improvements:
- The construction and deconstruction speed of most player structures has been increased by approximately 20-80% (campaign only)
- Resource collection speed increased by 25-50% (campaign only)
- Netherrock heals 30% faster (campaign only)
Activity goals:
- We started adding in-game objectives to the map screen after the prologue.This new addition will guide players more effectively by highlighting high-level objectives, providing a clear path through the game
Player map improvements:
- New player icon: We’ve added a unique icon to represent players on the world map, improving navigation clarity
- Eye-catching icon effects: To ensure immediate recognition, we designed player icons with eye-catching effects that are triggered when the map is opened
- Single Player Update: For a clearer experience during single player play, player name tags will no longer appear on the world map
Ramps and bridges:
- Ramps and bridge maximum height increased from 12 blocks to 24 blocks
- Ramps and bridge maximum length increased from 43 blocks to 75 blocks
- The user experience has also been improved, allowing for easier placement of ramps and bridges
Head-up display improvements:
- The song album icon now always appears on the HUD
- The map icon now always appears on the HUD
- Added button tips for PC players when using the toolbar menu
- Add button tips to the direction toolbar
- The first golem icon now displays correctly on the compass when its location in the world is discovered
Difficulty selection improvements:
- Players can now choose their preferred difficulty when starting a new campaign.This improved process makes it easier for players to choose the difficulty of the campaign game and better understand the differences between each difficulty

- Resolved an issue where colorblind mode was turned off when saving and loading the game

- Fixed an issue where the game could reset controller bindings (after changes) on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One
- Improved text positioning when changing text size
- Improved controller performance when navigating menus on PC
- After entering the “Rename File” prompt and selecting “Delete”, the controller can now select the menu element on the right
- The saved games list no longer auto-scrolls when selecting Delete in the rename prompt using a controller
- Privacy settings messages are now stated when viewing a friend’s player information.
