Prudence Sebalo (16 April 1985) is one of the brightest music stars in the South African music industry.
She is known by her stage name Miss Pru DJ. Currently signed to leading record label Ambitouz Entertainment, she is a top DJ, Songwriter and Music Producer.
Having shaken up the industry with her debut single Welele, Miss Pru has gone on to achieve huge success in the industry. A familiar example is her latest single, uHulumeni.

Early life
Pru DJ comes from a humble background. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sebalo.
She was born on 6 April 1985 and raised in Gauteng, South Africa.
Growing up under the influence of the emerging South African pop culture, she developed a taste for music as a teenager. Although she did not have a great singing voice like most of her musical friends, she was a talented musician. While she was writing lyrics in her diary, her passion for DJing blossomed in her heart.
To achieve this dream, she trained at Fuse Academy and qualified after months of studying. To develop herself, she took a radio communications course from On Cue Communications. Armed with these two trainings, she became the host of a show – The Sound Elevation – which aired on Rhythm100 radio.
Education
An average but hard-working student, Ms. Pru DJ graduated with high marks in elementary, middle and high school.
Being passionate about expanding her knowledge, she has attended many seminars, workshops, conferences related to the field of media and entertainment.
Career
In collaboration with DJ Zinhle, Miss Pru DJ co-hosts the House Of She radio show. The show is regularly aired on TransAfrica Radio. In addition, she has begun to receive performances at weddings, birthday parties and corporate events across South Africa. She has performed at the South African Music Conference and the Dance Ceremonies Concert in the past. She has also toured other cities in Africa and North America to perform at events.
Not stopping at her music career, Miss Pru DJ signed a contract with Ambitouz Entertainment and joined the record label in 2015. She has been very successful with this record label. Besides her growing popularity, she has also collaborated with many big names in the industry such as Fifi Cooper, Emtee, Sjava, Saudi, Areece and B3nchMarQ.
In 2015, Miss Pru DJ released her debut single Welele, which catapulted her into the limelight. She then began to receive more industry collaborations and invitations to perform at events. She followed this success with her 2016 hit single, Ameni, which featured her labelmates.
After months of isolation during the lockdown, DJ Miss Pru has come up with a track that has delighted her fans in South Africa and around the world. The single, uHulumeni, has already racked up over 1 million views on YouTube.
Wanting to diversify her income, she decided to co-found Sedima Shea Butter Company.
