Dishani Chakraborty was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on October 24, 1993. She was adopted by the famous Indian actor Mithun Chakraborty and her adoptive mother is actress Yogita Bari. Her grandparents are Basantokumar Chakraborty, Santirani Chakraborty, Hardarshan Kaur and Jaswant.
She grew up in a family of four. She has three other half brothers, namely Namashi Chakraborty, Mahaakshay Chakraborty and Ushmey Chakraborty. Except for the writer Ushmey Chakraborty, her other brothers are actors.
