Early life and education

Mr. Mo Farah, born Hussein Abdi Kahin, was born on March 23, 1983 in Gabiley, Somali Democratic Republic.

When he was only four years old, his father tragically lost his life during the Isaaq genocide.

After this devastating event, Farah was separated from her mother and spent several years in Mogadishu as a child.

At the age of nine, he was trafficked to the UK via Djibouti, where he was forced to work as a domestic servant under a different name.

Career
